These are the main sights of old Rome. The Capitol has been rebuilt from time to time in a more modern way & is today the town hall of the city. There are, there, museums of the Roman life, architecture etc. As regards the sights of Rome they do not compare with some other cities, but still they are considerable.
First of all comes St Peters, the largest church in the world. It is known in Italian as a basilica. Its immensity is its main feature and its piazza with outstretched rows of fine columns seeming to invite the city & indeed
