good deal of the vegetation around Nice & on this Côte d'azure (azure shore) is semi tropical, but not naturally so I think. Also some of our own dear Australian evergreens were there such as blue gums & these delighted our eyes indeed. Another rare treat was the smell of the French mimosa which is practically the same as our variety - the wattle. It is the sunshine, the blue Mediterranean and the brown rocks & mountains
