Rome is not as rich in all art treasures as Florence, perhaps, but in sculpture & architecture she leads. In the Vatican we have a large number of Michalangelos finest pieces of work, and his brain is behind much of the architecture of the churches. Raphael's famous frescoes are also treasures of the Vatican, which contains also a fine gallery of representative, but largely Italian, masters
