Back on Milan I happened to meet my friend M. Dautreme again so we spent the remaining part of the evening in a large cafe which attracts its customers & keeps them for the evening with a variety performance.
I stayed at the Agnello & the next morning the 20th Feb caught the 8am train to Venice, arriving about 6 pm after a long journey over flat farming country the only important town en route
