It was quite a pleasure for me to study the sea at every opportunity as I had been seemingly so long inland.
In the centre of the city the streets become so narrow that all vehicular traffic excluded and they form bazaars. There is a cathedral known as the "Old" & one known as the "New" One of the steep small hills on which Genoa is built has been converted into a very picturesque garden inset with a few cages for birds & wild animals & which is known as the Zoological Gardens From the summit of this hill a fine view of the city is obtained.
