Venice visiting all parts of the quaint old city, and picked up with two other Australians with whom I later travelled to Naples.
On 22nd (Feb) we caught the 11 pm train & spent the night travelling to Florence arriving about 6 am. This method of travelling was not the most comfortable & restful possible, still it saved time to a valuable extent & was almost unavoidable Later I used it more.
Florence we saw in one day. The great gallery there is almost the home of Italian painting & made one wish he were a little less
