a gigantic memorial in the form of an art gallery, built, reasonably enough, with more thought to effective stepped & colonnaded exterior than to utility as a gallery.
This memorial is a national one erected by a glad people in commemmoration of the unification of the Italian peoples & in honor of the King Founder Emmanuel.
It is of very modern construction, steel, concrete, & mortar, & very superficial but effective, & must be noticed if not to be compared with the older works of architecture of the city.
