afterwards, these men began their Sunday school themselves in a very backward state of knowledge, but the Lord who instigated them has blessed his own work & while watering others, they have been watered themselves. They have had no superintendence my visits having been so infrequent as not to deserve the name but about 3 weeks ago I found them on Sunday Evg collected & reading with perhaps more intelligence than I had witnessed in a school. The teachers had supplied themselves with the Sabbath Monitor & used it in their classes. I have now about 1000 weekly subscribers of every class & rank. All the 4 [Indecipherble] clergymen are among my distributors, as are also several other clergy - I [Indecipherable] as yet only about 15 [number?] published & I hope for a very increased ner of subscribers etc - The tracts can be seen once a mth. I belive my former [Indecipherable] contained Mathew's Gospel & 52 Psalms, but were intended only for my adult classes & had no Instructions for children, It is I think 5 years since I printed them & as I have reason to believe my gracious Lord used me in them for his own purposes of good to some I have been the more encouraged to go on again, etc. 

The Sunday School just whose [Indecipherable] mentioned was a [Indecipherable] just of the house of Sally Crawford who used to attend the St Ernan's Sunday School [Indecipherable] fails to fill Evening[?] [Indecipherable] in the school [Indecipherable] though most of the children now attending know her only by her [Indecipherable] etc - I find it a good plan to
