bracing Sea Air may again be of service to me, & by continuing as long as I can, that I may pass next winter a little more pleasantly. I was in Bantry 3 weeks last Augt.

I proposed writing by last mail but was disappointed in getting "Glashier's hygrometrical tables & Steinmetz every "body's weather guide," in time - I now send them directed to Sir Wm. preferring to send the copy I used of the former, as I had in some manner bound it, to the same in a more paper cover; in order to prevent their being crumpled up in the mail boxes.

The Tables for ascertaining the Dew point he will find preferrable in use in the forcing house, to any Hygrometer that he commissioned me to procure for him when I returned to England, he told me was a failure - Glashier explains their use in connexion with the wet & dry bulb thermometers.

Ireland is improving notwithstanding the meddling & mudling of the Government at the dictation of Paul Cullen, & the R C Bishops - the farmers get high prices for all produce
