There were a goodly number assembled, a procession of the folks belonging to the College preceding the Governor, a Speech from the great man, strong but forward & to the purpose, and likewise from the Bishop narrow [minded?] & illiberal prayers read by the [same?] &c &c, & then a general chatter & shaking of hands among the

When you last wrote you were going to Bordeaux - & we are hoping the next Packet will bring us further tidings of you. We had no letters either from you or B.C. by the last Mail - I hope my dear Sister benefited
