for it is very expensive - George & I both enjoy having a little London society - we are very near Mrs Grote, who in former years was a great friend of George's - & we often go in to her after dinner, to have a chat or a game at Whist. 
George is very well, & very young for his age - he suits me better than when younger, when he was always wanting to stay away from home at other people's large houses & places - which of all things is I think the dullest & most tiresome, & now we have given that up, & stay at home or go to some Hotel or lodgings by ourselves where we can suit ourselves as to meals &c.&c. We dine with our children Fred & Charlie & Ned sometimes - & have once dined with Mrs Grote - but we never dine out in general nor
