Cadiz January 24th.
1856.

My dear Aunt Emily

I venture to introduce to you the bearer of this letter Mr. Western Wood, his father has been for some years a neighbour of ours, living at North Cray place, and the son is going to Sydney, with the intention, I believe of sheep farming. He may be in Sydney for a short time, & as I don't think he has many or indeed any friends there I thought you would not mind my giving him this letter. He will be able to tell you many things about the old neighbourhood, though I know Mama keeps you very well informed of everything that goes on. By the heading of this
