at the suit of a married woman servant. We do not believe he has been guilty of the charge laid against him. Nevertheless his sin has found him out, & it has been a great trouble to get the judges to listen to any thing contrary to the "Guilty" pronounced by the jury. His life will be spared & what more I know not, but I will send you the Papers.
They have been squabbling away in Council in a most wonderful way. One night they were at it till 3 o'clock on the subject of the defences of the Harbour

Last not least Flour has fallen much in price, owing to the importations from S. America. The wheat fields want rain but look well.
