sake should not be too much for him! At least that’s my understanding of love.
10/11/1915. Another week has lapsed and life’s clock is ticking more quietly here. New arrivals have slowly pushed our numbers to 310. The last ones arriving could still be accommodated indoors by fixing up the old, unused kitchen and clearing out part of the dispensary. But apparently another 150 men are due to arrive, and there are plans to erect barracks in the courtyard and outside the walls. Already, due to the large number of men and to the fact that, surely by the Major’s design, some of them are inferior characters, our coexistence has lost a great deal of harmony. The almighty Major will make sure we won’t be too comfortable here. During his
