20/7/16. The English government has finally admitted to having declared null and void the so-called “Declaration of London”, an agreement struck in 1909 between the major naval powers regarding contraband, carrying of flags, etc. It violated the agreement from day one in that it treated goods like wool and cotton as contraband even though the declaration excluded them. Now it doesn’t have to pretend at all anymore and can act arbitrarily, and the natural consequence for Germany will be an even tougher blockade.

If you can’t conquer the damn Huns, you have to starve them, even if an entire population perishes in the process. But here too the world will come to realise just how much the German nation can put up with if it must, as it has shown in the wars for independence. Inexplicable, however, that America, “the land of the free” and a signatory to the Declaration of London, puts up with England’s arbitrary ways. Of course, business with the Allied is too lucrative, so rather than forgo it, the Americans will overlook a few insults.
