Charlotte is gone to school & seems very happy - our new Governess goes on so happily & well & is a great comfort.
I hope your drought has not continued - & that the stables are to be built in the place you wish & not just opposite the house - then tell me if your two new servants suit. The one for the children & the other with a little boy, who you meant to try as Housekeeper.
I have seen Lady Macarthur lately. We try to meet but in England London it is so difficult.
Libby's is a sweet little Baby boy & is called Charlie - her girl Joan is very tall, [& looks?] growing. George sends his kind love to you & after says "How I should like to see Emily". Goodbye dearest I wish I could send you a more happy letter.
With much love to you & Bessie & many a kiss
