Mr Barnett just made his appearance a little time ago only for an hour or two & he is seldom here now. On Friday all the young people go to a dance at Sir John Lubbocks & James & I wend our way to London - Darbe & Joan fashion. We have seen a great many visitors of one kind or another lately many Australians - & they always ask about you. A letter from Mrs Cowper to Miss Hamilton mentions that the subject of the 1862 Exhibition is beginning to be thought about & I dare say you will come in for a share of consultation on the subject & very likely be appointed or rather you will be asked to be the representative of the Colony - I hope you may accept, for then we should have
