made more fuss, then I could have gone alone often for 2 or 3 days, oftener than he would have thought necessary- well it is over now, & I must try not to regret, & blame myself but be thoughtful, that she is not now living in a state of suffering & that all is past so peacefully - & so I that my visits are over - how quickly everything seems to pass away in this life, at least when past it seems so - but which passing time seems to go slowly often - only think of her 28 years of marriage - George now looks quite past middle age - Johnnie & Charlie are both getting very grey -
We are all going on well & George is at present especially well - he is not like 83 - but more like 63 in his power of mind & body.
