me to you, but I was then very busy, could ill spend the time from here, & could worse spare it from Sydney!!

My management has so far, prospered exceedingly, and now that the actual labour of changing everything is over I feel my work much lighter. There was much to be done, for Dr Traill having been a partner, his Execs. thought fit to give me much trouble, in land & money questions. This to end of the year 1873, & the first four months of this year passed, in much trouble & bickering, but finally the titles were signed, & matters were settled, & better than all, I was much praised by the Stone people for the way I had got through it.
