all the Australasian Colonies collected together and the commencement of their application to useful & scientific purposes. I may mention for instance that Dr Mueller the Director of the Botanical Gardens exhibited 30 specimens of paper made from the Bark & fibre of plants & Trees indigenous to these colonies shewing an inexhaustible supply of material for the manufacture of paper. I was glad to see that Camden was represented. There were some perfumes & spirits not well prepared but still of interest & I lost no time in fraternizing with one of the
