difficult to manage, and Amelia Hilder and I get on famously with the dressing operations. Baby lives in Elizabeth's room in the daytime, & has her cot, and a little fire there and is quite cosy, she is not at all a cross child, but she can give a good cry sometimes; she begins already to laugh and look about, and James is so fond of her, even now she is such a precious little treasure and a gracious Providence has not withheld this blessing from us, May he guide us in training her, as one of his
