My dearest Aunt

Thank you many times for your nice kind letter, your letters are so welcome and always cheer me up, if I am a little inclined to be sad.

I am getting on nicely, & feel stronger every day. I have been out walking about here, but have not been away from home yet, the weather has been so damp that I have been timid about going to church particularly as an abscess formed in one of my breasts, and though it was not a large one, it was quite enough to make me very miserable.  It
