Many thanks for your letter & cheque which is for three pence too much.

I am glad we shall meet again tomorrow - The Ball was a very nice one and I hope Bessie enjoyed herself. You are far better in London than at B C today and you certainly lost nothing by not being in the Country yesterday. In haste,
