I fear you may be [Indecipherable] with many letters upon the present joyful occasion my dearest Emily & perhaps the kindest thing will be not to add to their number but I could not rest contented without writing to you soon & perhaps I might not easily learn your direction when once you commence your travels. I have been sorry not to see you since I heard of you must have been in a great bustle the last few months & I hope after your return from Scotland we shall all have an opportunity of becoming acquainted with Mr Macarthur - it has been a great pleasure to me to listen to his [Indecipherable] from all who [know?] him & to feel assured that by your [Indecipherable] with him you have obtained a sensible & agreeable companion & a friend & affectionate friend who will [Indecipherable] in all your future joys & sorrows [Indecipherable] the happiest lot in this life there must
