My dear Wm.

A little note to you in case you are still in England. Many thanks for all yr letters. How interesting to me you may guess. We do not expect to see you till Novr. or Decr.  I never saw such a season as this. The rain never ceases for long together we had a fortnights' fine weather - & now there is a thorough tempest of wind & rain from the So - the meadow us under water
