the state from Parramatta again - I did not wish to leave home this time but was induced to do so by James's desire that I should show myself at the laying of the foundation stone of St Paul's College by Your Ex which took place this day, being St Paul's day - So down we trudged  - amidst heat & dust - headaches & what not - leaving confusion in the outworks of our house in the shape of bricklaying & plastering. This ceremony took place today - we thought it would
