& they seem to have had something of a similar scene on Wednesday last on the same subject. The Governor is either headstrong & meddling or ill advised - 

We have had a very cold dry winter - a long succession of very white frosts. The Bougainvillea & Moreton Bay Fig are both nipped. Last night we had a little rain & I hope the weather gives signs of being broken for the Country looks very dry - There is very little pasture for the animals within the enclosures - Mr Ferguson is very busy
