My dear Mother
Our school got a holiday today so I went to Cremorn with Aunt Beatrice and all the others. I have had a feverish atack the last two days but I am fealing alright again now. On Saturday I went to the ostrich farm with Aunt Katie and Geof.  It is so funny to see them run, one was trying to turn on a tap, but it was not able too. I thought it would peck the tap away it kept on pecking for so long. The people showed us some of the fethers and the 60/- ones were lovely. I was so sorry

[Note in pencil by Auntie Kate]
