My dear Mother
I went to the Englishman's Home. The manager asked 680 boy scouts and 1000 cadets. Max did not go so I marched the Dingoes there. The play was lovely, the poor Germans were hooted every time they came onto the stage. Mr Brown and the soldiers were chiered as long as we could keep it up. Before the play a picture of a boy scout was given we all cheered but the cadets hooted but we beat them we cheered loudest and longest. I am now Patrol leader and Charlie is Corporal.  Max has resigned he has got tired of scouting. We took the scout's oath Last Friday night and are now practising for the second class exam. We have challenged the Whip birds next Saturday at defence & attaking or despatch running.

Thursday morning.

I got the parcel safely last night thank you   Aunt Katie is going to give me /6 to put with that 2/6. I think I will be coming up in 6 weeks from today. Aunt Katie lets us have our meeting in the study now   Has Kismet quietened down yet. Please give my love to Father, and much love to yourself

Your loving son
Rob Wilson
