My dear Mother
On Friday night we had a scout meeting and a mother's meeting. The Mothers agreed to let us go camping for the night but it must be with in ten minits walk of houses, I am hopeing for your letter to say I can go if Aunt Katie will let me. We left the troop the other day, we found that we could not get enough practic with them they are all to big for us. Yesterday we asked a new patrol the Whipbirbs and we had a game of attacking and defence down the bush at the back here. We played two games, first we defended a rock, we got about 40 yrds. away from it and put logs all around it and the Whipbirds had to get in. Then the Whipbirds defended it and we tried to get in. We beat them twice but we only played for the game. Tomorrow night we are going to march out to Rose Bay with the other scouts. Sir Harry Rawson is going to present the boy scouts with a Union Jack and we are going to have tea at Rose Bay. Please give my love to Father and Hal and Freddie with much love to yourself.
Your loving son
Rob R Wilson
