Sunday 23rd Jan 1910
Telarah
Orlando Av,
Mosman

My dear Mother
i did not have much of a trip down, I had a cup of coffee at Wang and when I got to Sydney I could not get a porter to help me so I tried to carry them by my self but I could not carry them more than about five yards so I waited some time before I could get a porter and then I put them in the cloak room and put the ticket in the carriers box. I had some coffee and a bun at the station and then walked down to the quay and had to wait half an hour for the boat. Geof and Dudley met me at Mosman. Mardie has had influensa and has been in bed for a weak but she is up today. I eat my biscuits and some fruit for breakfast and Aunt Beatrice gave me some cocoa. I did not want anything else. Would you like me to write a short diary every night and send it to you with my letter? I would like to do so. If I sent up some coppingĀ paper do you think Father would mind sending me a coppy of his diary and then I could know what was going on at home. It is horrible to be sitting here after driving Niger in the cart yesterday. Everybody is well here.
