My dear Mother
We break up on Thursday 26 March so I suppose I shall catch Thurday nights train. Will you ask the coach driver if he will be on the station on Good Friday as I want to speek to him. I will be alright 2nd class in a night train if I dont get into the 2nd class smoker. Headly [Hedley] has been down for the weak end and we have had great fun. On Saturday Headly, Geof, Dudley and I went for a swim at the Spit, we walked both ways. I can swim pretty well now. I often swim across the baths. In the afternoon we went with Aunt Katie to the Zoo. There are a great many new animals there and we saw the lions and other ferocious animals being fet [fed] They got a lot of Baby Crocidiles there. Yesterday After noon Aunt Katie took me to Mr Cordeaux and I have to go there this afternoon.
