My dear Mother.
I had a afairly good trip down, we boath h got in to a threw carage but we had a middle seat. It did feal so nasty to have no body to say goodbye to I slept  a some of the way down, while I was asleep a lot of men got in, and I was lying down on the seat and he asked me to sit up and let him sit down and then he said that I could put my pillow on his knee and  lie down, Which was all over oil and stuf  I think he was an engine driver, so I said no thank you I could sit up.   I went to tea at Mrs Mcphirson's and Jane went to Mis Richard's when Mis Richard heard it she told Jane I would have ham or something like that, and when I went up for Jane she asked me if I had a very good tea and i did not know waht to say so I just smiled, I did only have a peice of bred and quince jelly.
