My dear Hal
How are you?
I found some nice ripe grapes at the bee-hives.  I found your gold man Aunt Beatrice gave you in amongst the grape vines on the ground, - the blue grapes are nearly all gone, I & Frank both go down, first-thing in the morning to let the sheep out.  Tell Mum Jane found two nests in the woodheap quite close together, one had three eggs in it & the other had two & the two silver Wyandottes [chicken] are still in the garden & the cats have not eaten them.  We caught a chookie
