Cousin Jocelyn did not get the 35/- for the pick of his whs [ewes?] so he sent them to Sydney but he sold 4 trucks of the second pick for 29/- which is not too bad on the place. Did you get Stellas letters? She send her love and asks you to burn the letter but I would very much like to see it, please dont beleive [believe] any lies in it.
On Wednesday we went to the Nyngan Experimental Farm and saw wheat, sheep and Mr Mathews. The wheat is about an inch high and out in ear. The sheep are South Australians, very strong. The farm is very poor ground and the only experiment on it is the action of whether on Machinery when left in the open, all the rest are facts jammed down your throat by Mr Mathews. I am getting quite good at Car driving. Coming home from the Farm I drove the car for about five miles and had to go in to one of the paddocks, drive through a belt of timber, turn round & stop at some sheep yards and drive back again & I got on 1st rate.
