On board Ferry
Dear Mary,
Rob did not get his letter finished in time to post on his way to school, so I am taking it to town - he is to meet me this afternoon at Farmer's to see about a suit. I have been enquiring about Dr's and will probably go to Dr Hughes: he dreads the going through what he endured in the summer - I think it might be the birght sunshine that affects his eyes. I never go out without a veil. If George goes up early I suppose Rob might as well travel with the party it would so much pleasanter. Let him know in good time which it is to be.
I hope Chris intends to come down for the Show. Tell me about your serge cloth - I am getting something and have a fancy for serge.
Do you want anything sent up by Rob?
Beatrice wonders whether it is colder with you than with us - screaming hot here!
Have you any ideas on chair covers. I am told I ought to have them done "up to date" Im washing covers. Wish you were here to take the choosing in hand!
Good bye Love to all
Your loving sister
