My Dear Mother
I had a good journey down, I was lovely and warm all the way the under pants were lovely, I took my boots off and wraped them up in the rug and had warm feet all the way down, Dudley and I had a cup of coffe on the station, we caught the eight o'clock boat from Sydney, I got a very good note book in Mudgee, If you smell something dead near Huxlie's you will see a cat lying in the 2nd black berry bush. I passed Jack at Huxlie's. Is Freddie all right yet? Burtha is going to take this letter up to the Railway station and I am going to pay her fares. After paying all expenses and giving Uncle George ballence I have only 1/10 left, I have to give Burth 6d and Aunt Katie gave me 3d stamps. something unsettled the buisyness about the house in Spothorf St, [Spofforth?] It will be lovely if we do get the house as we shall be able to make a garden and have plenty of do. I came down with a woman named Mrs Cook she said she knew father and knew me when I was a little baby. Uncle George, & Mardie met us at Cirqular Quay. If we get that house Aunt Katie hopes very much you will come and put things right for us. Bertha said thank father for the cards. Aunt Katie has just gone to Manly to see Uncle Fred. Uncle Freds address is c/o M O Hungerford Esq, Yarrawonga, Gloucester. The fowl and butter was lovely, Mardie stayed to dinner today. Please give my love to Father, Hal & Freddie, & a lump of sugar to Taffie.

With much love to yourself.
Your loving son
Rob Wilson
