"Lyttleton"
Orlando Av,
Mosman
Sunday 22nd May 1910

My dear Mother,
I could not go to school when the Dr said. I could not go till last Tuesday. The day Uncle Walter arrived. Sunday 15th I went downs to Manly with the Lyttleton and Telarah folks. We went about 3 o'clock and Headly [Hedley] & I got back at half past six and Aunt Katie & Uncle Walter got back at half past seven, they bought their tea and eat it on the beach. On Monday I was not well enough to go to school but I went and Tuesday and felt pretty sick all day. Mr Dyce let me come home at dinner on Wednesday and I had such a bad head ache but I was alright on Thursday. Friday we got a holiday and as the men have finished the rooms I set to work & cleaned up a little in the morning while Uncle Walter and Aunt Katie went to church. In the afternoon Aunt Katie Uncle Walter and I went out to St Tennial [Centennial] Park to the memorial service. There were 140 thousant people there, and it was fine sight to see all the soldiers there. On Saturday the Telarah, some of the Nahovel, Uncle Walter and I went for a picnic. We took a boat and rowed over to the other side from the spit and had dinner
