My dear Mother,
I went with Max Allworth to the skating rink and had a skate, I had three or four falls but did not hurt myself. Is Hal getting on all right. Aunt Katie said to give you Miss O Godwin's Address it is

I went down for a bathe yesterday and I am able to swim now, Aunt Katie said that while I was up home she had a swim in the breakers at Manely. Have you had any more rain since you wrote last we have had some down hear. Are Freddie and Hal [indecipherable] learning to ride on "Taffey". I am so sorry not to have written befor. Where has Jim gon to. At school yester day we had to write a essay on any subject we liked and I piked sheep. In Arithmetic I am doing L.C.M. and G.C.M [G.C.F?] and will soon be doing fractions. We have a latin lessen twice a weak and french three times a weak. Please thank Hal for his post card, give Hal and Fred my love
