Dear Mary
If you can send down 6 (or 5) lbs of butter we would be very gald indeed to have it. The price is going up, it was 1/2 last week. If the carriage on it is 1/9 for 6 lbs that would add 3 ½ per lb to your charge, so if you charge 10 d  (or 9d for less quantity) you would not lose, nor we. We only use about 2 lbs a week at present & Beatrice 2 ½, but I could dispose of the remainder. Let me know what day of the week we would get it as we should have to ask our 'Butter- Man' not to call for a while. I wonder you don't have a fixed price for your butter. The baby next door does not disturb the calm & peace of the neighbourhood now that is given more food. - the Mother took my suggestion ! and investigated & found that she was giving half the prescribed quantity.  She has taken up with nursing poor little Dossie, that the baby had to be somewhat put on one side. The mother later gave up nursing it hence the difficulty & so far I have not been disturbed.
