My Dear Mother
We were sorry to hear you wouldent come down, We got your letter on Tuesday, why could not you and Hal and Freddie come down now and Father could come for the sheep show later on, I could go up and stay with Father whle you are away. We are doing a Lot of Latin at School now. our examination begins today or Monday, so I have to work hard with my books. I have got a 6d fountain pen so I do all my home work lessons in the dinner hour. It has been raining on and off since Wednsday. I was pleased to hear about Father getting 2nd prize in the show. Aunt Katie says she wont come up because you will not have any butter milk.

Please give my love to Father,
I am
Your loving Son
