Left Croisy at 3p.m & made off towards the guns that we could hear rumbling to the North

It proved to be only a light march of about 8 miles, this brings our total up to nearly 70 miles.

We passed through Rainneville & Pierregot & finally stopped at Rubenpre [Rubempre], we are now only about 8 miles from the nearest point in the firing line, but it is held by the French, so we shall have to bear further to the West to reach the English part of the line.

Pay day.
