Sunday night   P.S. I have just been reading the paper. Men are not recruiting as they should. Do you realy think I should wait till 19? That letter from the Barracks is not satisfactoroy I could get recomendation from Mr Albernethy I think. If I get a licence I might get motor driving which would be better than infantry but a lot of boys of 18 are going and older men dont seem to be so what should I do?

Please read this [the following] 2nd as its mostly tommy rot & ought to be burnt.  R.V.

I got Fathers & your letter on Wednesday and am glad the Corriedales are lambing so well. Cousin Jocelyn is going to buy stud C rams this year but would like to get frock corriedales from Father next year. Just spoke to Cousin J about me going to Sam, he thinks it is a very good idea, says it is no burden to carry thinks Sam ought to give me 30/- per week says board will cost 25/-. Must stop now.
