My dear Molly
I hope you are rejoicing in bright sunny glowing weather and that the rain gave the ground enough moisture to get a move on the grass. Lad turned up last Friday night looking well & brown. He evidently thoroughly enjoyed the visit to you and would like to go again. He says he has not had such a happy time for many a day. At present there is little doing in the office not enough worth going back for yet so he may possibly wander up north. Katie brought Robin Potter in last night for a few minutes. He has grown very tall & is broadening out in the shoulders.  Very like Fan.  Min family well.  gone off to Sydney this morning with her father to see the troops march through the city. I enclose a wool paragraph I cut out of the Herald which may interest Chris - Generally a very hopeful feeling all round that though the war may last for some time, yet business will begin to steady & prices improve.

An article I enclose on the strong but silent British is well worth reading showing how British take things philosophically no pessimism. Will wrote us a long letter, the other day, and wound  up by saying "are you not proud  to be a Britisher". Edward volunteered to go with the Tasmanian contingent but was rejected because of an old injury to his foot which might interfere with his marching.

Good luck to Chris now many bales did he store & did the Corriedales give a good average clip. Tell Rob' hope he's in  good form.

Your loving brother
Francis
