fine as the others tho very good among them were two Papilis Priamus.

He had also a toy which struck me much from its beautiful effect a Glass Globe blown hollow for Gold Fish the underside like the bottom of a quart bottle was pressd near the inter so that the two sides were not above 3 inches asunder in the hollow under this a canary bird livd who perchd just in the middle of the globe so that he appeared to be in the water among the Gold Fish.   whenever he sung his shrill voice was so much sofned by the surrounding water that to me it was much more agreeable than the notes of a canary bird in a cage which generaly pierce the ears too much.

14.  This morn was spent in taking Leave of our many friends as we had determind to leave the place in the evening at half past 4 we embark in the Track Skuyt for Delft where we arrivd in an hour we walked through the town a pretty long one
