Wool. I am of opinion, therefore, that there is no danger of the prices of Wool falling lower than they are, at present. On the contrary, I think they will rise. particularly for the finer qualities, and the Sheep Owner in New South South Wales, who perseveres in a steady and judicious system of permanent improvement, will, in my opinion, find an improving market for his fleeces, in this Country. Before I quit this subject, I will advert shortly to the argument, so frequently brought forward by political writers, that a repeal of the English Corn Laws, would necessarily cause a reduction of the quantity of German Wool. This appears to me to be completely erroneous. The production of Corn has been greatly increased, by the introduction of Sheep husbandry.
