Wheat is, generally speaking, throughout Germany, from 16s/- to 20s/- per quarter, about one third of its price in England. Meat and the other Necessaries of life, bear similar relative values, and labor may be estimated in the same proportion.

Capital bears an Interest of from 2½ to 3½ per Cent. 2½ per cent, is considered a fair return, for money invested in Landed Property.
