affability, and conversed upon the subject of fine wool - the best races of Sheep &c in a manner perfectly lady-like, and which, at the same time, shewed the interest she took in this favourite pursuit of her husband's, as well as her capability of directing the Establishment, during his absence. She told me "la bergerie" was her great delight.

The Flock consists of about 1500. They are descended from Sheep, originally presented by the late King of Saxony, to the late Prince Reuss, and are of the pure Escurial Race.

The Sheep are small in Stature, but not in bad condition.

The marks of high breeding are evident. I was much pleased to perceive, that they were, decidedly, of the same race as our Argonauts.
