resemblance of the Rothschemberg and Kliphausen flocks, Mr Koelz (who, although an excellent judge of wool, is not so familiar with the peculiar features of countenance, and other distinguishing characteristics, of external appearance in Sheep,) at first thought me a little fanciful, particularly, as he had always understood the two flocks to be of different origin. This he assured me was the case. "No matter", said I "I am convinced they are of the same race".

I can scarcely describe his extreme surprize, whem Madam de Rothschemberg*, who had been an attentive, but silent listener to the discussion, put an end to it, by the observation, that I was quite right, as the Rothschemberg flock had been originally derived from Kliphausen,
