He is of opinion the present prices cannot pay the Grower, where the flocks are kept with the care & attention necessary to preserve them from deterioration.

Mr Sievers thinks the exportation this year, from Germany to England, will fall short of the usual quantity - from 8 to 10 millions of pounds. The remainder has been purchased by the German Manufacturers, or has gone to the Netherlands. No Stock remains on hand, except an inconsiderable quantity at Hamburgh. The prices for the middling qualities of Wool, are, at present, better at Leipsic, than in London, nearly all the high priced wools are sent to England.
